What is an OBB file and where does it go?

Large Android games often come with an extra data file called OBB. It holds graphics, sounds and levels that are too big for the APK itself.

Where to put the OBB file

Copy the OBB file into Android/obb/<package name>/ on your phone's internal storage. The folder name must match the game's package name exactly, for example com.company.game.

Tips

• Install the APK first, then copy the OBB file.
• On Android 11 and newer, use a file manager that can open the Android/obb folder.
