Retro – Photos with Friends APK

Retro APK (Retro — Photos with Friends) is a private weekly photo journal that helps you share life with the people you actually care about, without likes races or endless feeds. Built by former Instagram team members at Lone Palm Labs, Retro has passed 1 million downloads on Google Play with an outstanding 4.8-star rating from more than 22,000 reviews. TechCrunch listed it among the next generation of social apps in 2026.

In this guide you will learn how Retro works, its best features, what is free, requirements, tips and how to download Retro safely on Android.

What is Retro?

Retro turns your camera roll into a simple weekly journal. Each week you pick a few photos or videos to share with close friends and family, and you can browse their weeks in return. There is no pressure: your friend list is private, likes are private and captions are optional.

It is designed to bring you closer to friends and help you appreciate your own life – without hijacking your time and attention like typical social networks.
